Our triple bottom line places quality of life and ecological regeneration on equal footing with the need to be financially sound.

Integralpermanence offers a dynamic and flexible consultancy service to meet your personal/ business/ farm/ communities needs. Collaborating with a network of global designers, educators and pioneers integrating various holistic design disciplines, we work closer with you to reach a clear set of holistic goals along with a management framework for carrying your vision long into the future.

                              Whole System Master Planning

Working with the fundamental landscape characteristics and components, Integralpermanence leverages opportunities to create regenerative landscape design.  We involve all the decision makers and investigate resource bases to identify both the "bleeds" of the business and points of leverage in terms of production and developing local and direct client bases.  Using the Keyline scale of permanence we are able to manage landscape master planning based on how individual land components function together as a whole.  By doing so localised characteristics of the climate, slope, aspect are given thorough consideration and the energy flows, mineral and water cycles within the site can be enhanced.
We work closely with our clients to envision the quality of life they desire and work backwards from there to identify what needs to be produced or created for that vision to be sustained long into the future.
Integralpermanence focuses primarily on building healthy topsoil through primarily biological methods, although earthworking is sometimes necessary for drought proofing farms in these uncertain climatic variances.  Healthy land management leads to large increases in soil Carbon, sequestering large amounts of atmospheric carbon whilst improving soil water holding capacity and diversifying the soil food web.  Whether you run herds on pasture, alley crop orchard fruits with annual cultivations or wish to establish native woodland good land management requires the optimum placement of different elements in their rightful place in terms of the land components of any site.  We connect elements in any design to perform multiple functions and connect functionally to ensure water, nutrient and energy flows are cycled within the farm and the only thing exported from the site in sunlight.

                              Biological Waste Management
Water is already a huge expenses to many farming enterprises, with water privatisation spreading at an alarming rate.  Carefully designing water systems is fundamental to an efficient overall system.  Nutrient filled solid waste can be carefully directed and utilised in various biological systems, providing full nutrient cycling and higher self reliance.  Both solid and liquid wastes can be managed responsibly, and biological treatment solutions exist for a majority of waste streams.  In the case of solid waste , recycling through soil creation can often be applied.  Liquid sewage streams and grey water can be treated through a number of different systems, in each case resulting in additional water for agriculture.  We implement WET systems to use soil to clean water with high ROD values and cycle nutrients back into the farm system with additional water retained within the system.

                              Surveying and Mapping
The design process begins with a comprehensive survey of the land. Topographical accuracy is very important to our design process as we strive to drought proof farms and extend energy flows onsite.  The survey data is then imported into GIS mapping software and used as the basemap for our designs.

                              Drought Proofing
Key to a good overall site design is the consideration of site topography and rightful consideration of water flows through the landscape.  Intelligently placed earthworks and water harvesting/ conserving strategies are crucial for efficient water management; saving outlays, maintenance and operating costs.  Understanding of the properties and behaviour of water are fundamental to a new farm/ project development, and vital for community resilience.  Utilising tested design strategies, water management is as crucial and as important in temperate as in more arid climates, offering opportunities such as new edges for production, energy creation and storage, pest control, micro- habitat control and irrigation as well as potentially taking the site out of drought risk.

                              Soil Food Web Technologies
Soil is perhaps the fastest depleted resource on earth today, and regenerating soil from an understanding of the complex interactions of the microbiology
is fundamental to our ecological bottom line, whether you are growing annual vegetables, reforesting or grazing. We teach farmers to make BioFertilisers on site with easily collected resources as an immediate release from conventional fertiliser applications.  We also work with Effective Microorganisms, Actively Aerated Compost Teas (AACT), LimeSulphur sprays and subsoil ripping to take out compaction and perform high quality ground preparation.

                              Market & Product Development
Direct marketing to consumers has always been the most viable way for farmers, communities and small land-holders to make a living off the land.  Just recently with the emergence of the slow food movement, organic food and local community awareness, this is being revived.  Integralpermanence can assist with poly- marketing to help your project succeed economically whilst meeting your needs ecologically.

                              Young Entrepreneurs
Integralpermanence works with young and new entrepreneurial farmers and land managers to holistically plan, design and manage success from the outset.  Support is available for designing and implementing incremental systems to minimise start up risks and ensure biological development as the foundation for economical success.  Farm succession is a very important concept to plan in at an early stage, a long term goal that marries the triple bottom line of our approach.  We work to ensure the development of the diverse skill flexes required the future stability and success of land and ecosystem stewards.

                              Holistic Project Management
Working with decision makers within your farm or project Integralpermanence can help you manage towards an integrated goal developed by all.  Using financial management tools we design an outcome with the triple bottom line of quality of life, environmental sustainability, and profit.

                              Workshops and Courses
Intergalpermanence empowers local farmers, entrepreneurs and community developers through high quality educational trainings.  From internationally accredited Permaculture Design Courses, 3 and 7 day Regenerative Agriculture workshops, Integralpermanence hosts courses around the world.

Our designs have the diversity, stability and productivity of natural ecosystems
We design to maximize self maintenance and minimize external inputs

Integralpermanence offers whole or partial system designs across the globe.  The most important aspect in such design work is not the actual elements we work with, but how we place those elements, and how they interact and function together as a whole.  The underlying principles of regenerative design are maintaining a triple bottom line.  Our triple bottom line places quality of life and ecologically regeneration on equal footing with the need to be financially sound.

Consultations involve thorough site observation and surveying, working with the client and associated decision makers to articulate goals and visions for the succession of the site and gathering information on available resources, time management, budgeting, etc.   Planning and designing are the most important part of a process in land management and reduce the risk of problems and expenses further into a project.  Strong dialogue between designer and client is essential to good design.   Depending on the project in hand, consultancy can be fully "on the ground", or via the Web for longer term project management.
